Burnside Lodge is located in a peaceful countryside setting. The seaside town of Nairn is just 10 minutes drive and with lots of things to see and do in the local area, it is the perfect location for couples or families to enjoy a relaxing break. The lodge overlooks gardens and a lawn area from the  paved patio where you can sit and relax at your private picnic table. The rest of the lodge is surrounded by woodland and to the rear, there is a small woodland path and a burn (stream). Both lodges are great places to see wildlife; a grey heron is known to frequent the burn at Burnside Lodge and guests have been known to see Red Squirrels from the patio window feeding on peanuts. We would love it if you would share any photos you do find so we can add them to our Meet the Neighbours page.

Burnside Lodge comfortably sleeps up to six people. There is a cosy and comfortable double bedroom, a twin room and a bunk room; perfect for children or younger adults. Bed Linen and towels are provided.  We can also provide a cot and highchair if required, please note we do not supply bedding for the cot.

The lounge and dining area are all open plan, great for being social and enjoying family evenings together. There is a TV with Freeview and a DVD player. There is a selection of DVD's, games and books in the lodge for you to use during your stay.

The kitchen is well equipped with everything you may need to prepare meals during your stay. There is a dishwasher, full-size electric cooker, fridge freezer, microwave, toaster, washing machine and tumble dryer. The garden offers a washing line if you wish to dry your clothes outdoors. Should you wish to eat out or take away, there are a number of pubs, restaurants and takeaways in Nairn, Forres, Cawdor and Inverness. There are two local supermarkets in Nairn, Co-Op and Sainsbury's and in Inverness, there are a large number of supermarkets including ASDA and Tesco. ASDA, Tesco and Sainsbury's will deliver if you wish to shop online in advance.

The bathroom has a bath with an electric shower. There is a heated towel rail. As a 'tourism for all establishment' the bathroom is suitable for the disabled user with grab rails by the toilet and in the bath to assist getting in and out. We always have heating and hot water on ready for your arrival.

The lodge is accessed by a private drive and there is space for cars to the side of the lodge. Ramped access allows easy access for prams, buggies or wheelchairs. Both lodges were designed with disabled visitors in mind, so the have doors wide enough for wheelchair access. We're happy to help answer any queries or take any suggestions to improve our accessibility.

Water is heated by an immersion. Electricity is via a £2 coin meter. We always have heating and hot water on, so the lodges are cosy and ready for your arrival. Dogs are welcome, but please let us know at the time of booking.

*Some assistance may be needed as the entrance does have a small lip at the main doorway.
