Nairn Beach

There are many lovely white sandy beaches along the Moray Firth Coast. Starting at Nairn the sands stretch east towards Culbin Sands, Findhorn, Roseisle, Burghead, Hopeman, Lossiemouth, Garmouth and Buckie. Great for a walk or to enjoy some peace and quiet in the outdoors. Close to the west beach in Nairn is the Nairn links, in the summertime, this is a great place to get an ice cream, or play in the adventure play park.

Culbin Forest

Stretching from Nairn to Findhorn Culbin Forest offers extensive forest walks near the shores of the Moray Firth. The site of a great sandstorm which changed the landscape and buried a village. Walks start at the carpark at Wellhill between Nairn and Forres of the A96.

Sanquhar woodlands

Surrounding the beautiful Sanquhar pond in the town of Forres just a twenty-minute drive from Nairn is the Sanquhar woodlands offering both quiet calm walks in the serene area, a pond frequented by swans with small waterfall and mountain bike trails.

Brodie Castle Duck Pond

Near Brodie Castle is a hidden gem missing from many tourist maps, the duck pond is a gentle walk near a large calm pond with viewing areas.
